Our school continues to have higher tier safety measures in place to support our pupils develop their sense of the changes in what they see, hear, and experience in the community.

  • We continue to have social distancing marking throughout the school building in order to develop their skills with social distancing, and to understanding when in the wider community.
  • Classes continue to teach good hygiene measures through the 20 second hand washing built into the pupil's daily experiences with lessons as this is a lifelong skill.
  • Hygiene measures in classes remain in place through regular antibacterial sprays, wipes, and cleans.
  • Timetabling continues to promote a level of zoning across the school so that we are ready for any new measures that may need to be introduced. This would allow pupils to transition to this easily.
  • Visitors to the school are provided with a lateral flow test to confirm a negative result before working with our pupils.
  • Community curriculum trips continue to have elevated risk assessments to ensure safety measures are in place.
  • Staff have the option and access to face masks.
  • Staff continue to access lateral flow tests.
  • Our Charity funded a PCR machine we continues to be available for 90 minute results if a child or staff member develops symptoms.

We have careful measures at our school for safety with the COVID-19 pandemic. The key aim is to elevate hygiene measures and minimise any cross-contamination in line with government guidance.

The school offers full PPE to all staff (disposable face masks, gloves, aprons, visors). All staff have lanyard antibac gel available, and all teams have antibacterial gel, wipes, spray, soap in their classroom and office space. All classrooms have a sink to promote regular hand washing. Every classroom and office has fresh air ventilation.

The school timetable is developed to promote safe use of specialist spaces through pathway specific timetabling. This ensures full access to the curriculum with safety measures in place.

  • Face coverings are worn in all communal areas beyond the classroom
  • An additional daily clean takes place across the school during lunchtime
  • Lateral flow testing for all staff and on-site external stakeholders such as NHS therapists takes place on Monday and Thursday weekly
  • The school has an onsite PCR test machine through fundraising to provide 90 minute results where consent is provided by family or staff
  • Visitors to the school must be pre-approved with clear safety guidelines in place.

The first bubble is the classroom. The second bubble is the bubble zone. There is no face-to-face cross-class learning, interaction, or sharing of resources.

We accessed the priority group vaccination programme. 85% of staff were double vaccinated through the programme.

We have a hybrid of asymptomatic (lateral flow) testing through onsite and home testing.

  • We accessed the priority group vaccination programme. 74% of staff have received their first vaccination
  • We have a hybrid of asymptomatic (lateral flow) testing through onsite and home testing.
  • The school is divided into protected bubble zones. The zones are identified by colours (Example: Green Bubble).
  • Staff lanyards identify the zone the staff work within.
  • Each bubble zone has an allocated leader, First Aiders, and elevated hygiene cycles.
  • Senior and middle leadership, ICT Team, Family Inclusion Team, and Business Team have rainbow lanyards reflecting cross school roles.
  • Pupils are transported within their bubbles and have a staggered arrival and departure time linked to their bubble.
  • Staff communication is through a clear ‘Walkie talkie’ process to minimise any classes moving through key areas of the building at the same time.
  • Playground and lunch areas are allocated to each bubble with specific times and through ROTAs.
  • Core team members have new systems to reduce the entry into protected bubbles.
  • If a member had to enter the protected bubble, they are tracked and would wear face mask, gloves, and aprons. This is even if they are not entering the individual classroom.

All communications between classes, teams, and staff is through our school phone system, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.
