Dear Parents and Carers,
Last week’s tour of the lower school for our families was a great successful with the families who came commenting on the positive atmosphere and engagement for learning across the primary phase of our school. Next week on Tuesday 3rd February we have a tour of the Upper School which all families are welcome to – please do let the office know (by phone or email) by Monday morning so we have a sense of numbers.
As January comes to a close, we want to celebrate each and every one of your children for their effort, engagement and achievement - we know that that progress is not always straight forward and small steps can be hard earned and require close partnership with school and home. One of our pupils’ achievements has been recognised regionally this week. On Saturday 24th January, Frankie from Pearl Pathway took part in the London Youth Games for Trampoline. The competition was held at the Sobell Centre and Frankie came first, receiving a gold medal in the para-intermediate category. Well done Frankie! Sports week in July will be chance to come together with families and celebrate your children’s achievements in sports.
Physical activity and active play remain a key focus for the school, and next week we will be celebrating Children’s Day of Play Wednesday 4th February through a series of whole school activities and events to promote the benefits of, and engage all pupils in, active play.
