Dear Parents and Carers,
As you know, we have a school charity that raises money each year so that we can continue to enrich the children's curriculum with trips and events, despite the challenges with government funding. Last year we raised £45,000, which funded trips (including our sixth form residential), visiting performers and specialists, and a new school minibus! This year we hope to raise even more! If you would like to donate, you can email fundraising@swisscottage.camden.sch.uk.
We are now looking for one or two parents to become members of the Board of Trustees for the charity. We would especially value people with experience and contacts across the corporate sector. There are a couple of meetings a year and some strategic or volunteer work depending on your skillset/ availability. If you or a parent you know could help, please email fundraising@swisscottage.camden.sch.uk for more information.
This week we have enjoyed some wonderful curriculum experiences across the school. On Wednesday we celebrated the Global Day of Play and laid out a suite of whole school play-based activities. There were some beautiful connections across pathways, ages and profiles.
Senior Team also welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia – they came to learn from our systems and processes and were personally struck by the confidence and curiosity from our pupils and the connectedness across our diverse community – ‘it feels like a family’.
A reminder for any families who have not yet completed the survey, we do need to update ALL permissions so that we can continue to post your child’s videos onto EfL etc. If you have not already, please complete this online survey.
Finally, below is a provisional timetable for when your child will have their photo portrait taken next week. Also a reminder of key upcoming dates.

Tuesday 10th February, 10am–11.30am: Coffee Morning with Camden Short Breaks Team
A member of the Short Breaks team will visit to share information and give advice to families. Short Breaks is an entitlement for children with Special Educational Needs and disabilities and can provide after school or holiday support for children.
16th–20th February: HALF-TERM WEEK (no school)
Tuesday 24th February: CAMHs & PBS Workshop

We hope that you have a wonderful weekend (and perhaps even some respite from the relentless rain).
